“OUR MISSION IS TO: USE POLITICAL POWER TO ACHIEVE EQUAL RIGHTS & EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ARAB AND MUSLIM AMERICANS” (Judge Wm. Haddad (Ret), Chairman)

AMVOTE is the FIRST Arab-American Political Action Committee (PAC) in the history of Illinois. Since our certification in October of 2015, we have become a political force in Cook County by scoring some major successes:

  1. Doubled Voter Turnout in Cook County by targeting the 71,946 registered voters with social media blitzes using Website postings (amvote.org), Twitter, Face Book, email blasts, Robo calls, radio spots, posters, flyers,” friend to friend” emails, direct mailers. Last November, the voter turnout more than doubled from 29.,53% in 2014 to 58.83% in November 2016, and as high as 70.07% in district targeted with AMVOTE Robo calls. AMVOTE now owns its own registered voter database in Cook County and will be expanding in the collar counties.
  1. Combating Hate:

Lobbying: AMVOTE has successfully lobbied Chicago Aldermen to adopt Resolutions condemning ethnic Hate Speech, Travel Bans, Registration and Internment of persons based on ethnicity or religion. Chicago City Council will send these resolutions to Congress and the President. Thanks to Alderman Joe Moore and Pat Dowell.
